TAIL LIGHT DECAL APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

S-Style or Shorty Eyelid Application Instructions

What you will need:

- Eyelids (of course)
- Regular rubbing alcohol
- A heat gun or hair dryer
- Squeegee
- Water in a spray bottle (with a few drops of dish soap)

*PLEASE NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED TO TAKE YOUR HEADLIGHTS OUT TO APPLY THESE. I HAD A SPARE SET THAT I WORKED ON TO DO THIS WRITE-UP. YOU CAN APPLY THEM TO THE HEADLIGHTS WITH YOUR HEADLIGHTS INSTALLED ON YOUR CAR.

Step 1: Clean the entire surface of the headlights well with rubbing alcohol and a paper towel. Any lint free wipe, such as untreated paper towel will work fine. Make sure they are cleaned well to remove any waxes, dirt, bugs, etc.

Step 2: The eyelids will be marked D for Drivers side headlight and P for Passengers headlight. If you are applying the black set (so light doesn't shine through) start peeling the eyelid off the backing paper. *Please remember to peel the eyelid with the D if you're starting on the drivers side and the eyelid with the P if you're starting with the passengers side*

Step 3: Once the eyelid is completely off the backing paper..

..spray it down with the soapy water.

Spray the headlight down with water too. Use enough soapy water so that you are able to easily slide the eyelid around on the headlight until you get it into the desired position.

This is what the eyelid will look like when you get it on and aligned (before you begin to squeegee out the bubbles).

Step 4: With firm pressure, begin to squeegee the eyelid onto the headlight from the center out (shown in the picture below). Be sure to go slow and take your time through the next few steps to get professional results.

Step 5: Once you squeegee out as many of the large bubbles as you can, you will now need your heat gun or hair dryer to aid in the rest of the installation.
*Do NOT leave the heat gun on one spot for more than 2-3 seconds. What you want to do is simply warm up the vinyl a bit and gently squeegee out the bubbles. If you leave the heat on the vinyl too long and firmly try to force out the bubbles you will crease the vinyl. It will crease VERY easily once it's been heated.

Do small sections at a time. The bubbles should all be towards the edges if you've completed step 4 correctly. Heat the vinyl and squeegee the bubbles out towards the edges.

Our eyelids should not need any trimming if applied corectly. They are cut to fit perfectly.

Above is a picture showing what the finished results should look like. If you purchased the "shorty" eyelids, please follow the same steps. If you have any questions about any of the above steps please feel free to contact us
